Before a nurse
or care assistant can become a member of the Kare Plus team they will
have had to satisfy our selection and screening criteria which
includes:
- Under going a rigorous interview selection procedure
- Supplying two satisfactory written references
- Establishing identification
- Verification of all professional qualifications
- The use of a health questionnaire
- Completing a CRB application successfully
- All care assistants attending a mandatory one day workshop in line with EEC regulations
Exemption from workshop may be allowed if :
- the applicant is a student nurse
- or in possession of a NVQ Level 2
- or has a valid certification of attending a Moving and Handling study day within the previous two years
A database training profile is commenced on all new employees
Audits are carried out continually on both standard of work and uniform conformance
